>>55620795>My storyline seems to take a while to get going even within ActsThat can be a good thing! A long scene is useful for providing character development and giving audiences time to breathe between climactic moments. If you're worried about being meandering, then my advice is to have a single pivotal moment in mind when writing that chapter that all other scenes are in service to. How did we get to [pivotal moment], where are we going after? Paint the scene, take advantage of the five senses to help immserse the audience. See, hear, feel, smell. Think of writing a scene as you would use a reference when painting--how well can your hands recreate what's in front of your mind's eye? Let the details carry your voice to new and even greater heights.
