A massive chess board with a half-played game that operates like a Strength puzzle. The player is only allowed to make three moves to reach checkmate otherwise the pieces are reset. Once the chess puzzle is solved the player can challenge the Gym Leader.
In the Gym all the gym trainers have at least one high level Pawniard.
