The Duck vades through the tables and then slips through the small crowd of people in front of the stage, gently bobbing their heads at the band

All bar stools are available, but the Duck decides upon the one all the way in the corner. He leaps atop the stool and starts to stare at the bartender. He keeps fixing his eyes on the mustachioed man for a long time, almost molesting him.

After the Duck has undressed the bartender with his eyes (and then rudely redressed him after seeing what he had to hide) the bartender gets fed up and walks up to the duck.

The duck then interrupts the bartenders first letters with the question: "Do you have any bread?"

The bartender is mildly baffled by the Duck's deep and soothing voice, but he retorts: "No, this is a drinking establishment. We might have some snacks, but that would be about it. There's a bakery next door, and they have bread, so you could try there."

The Duck thanks the Bartender for his time and waddles out.

The next day, the same time, the Duck appears again. He jumps up on the stool and the bartender waits even longer than the first day before approaching the Duck. The Duck looks to the bartender and asks: "Do you have any bread?"

The Bartender's mild anger is soothed somewhat by the Duck's deep voice. He answers in a friendly manner: "No, we do not have any bread, we won't buy any bread in the very short future, but we do have snacks. You might be able to try your luck next doors, at the actuall bakery where they do make bread." The bartender put an extra punch in MAKE, letting his mild frustration slip through his teeth.
