I, personally, wouldn't really call the general gaming audience and the general pokemon audience the same audience since the pokemon community seems to be fairly segregated from the larger gamer community. Most pokemon fans don't seem to really play other games or consume other media outside of pokemon. To me there is a stark difference between those various groups but you are probably right I am just drawing pointless divisions and it ultimately doesn't matter. Alola getting more love would be great either way.
