>>45309082We don't really do gym challenges, if we did we'd do them as groups. It would be a Gym Leader sending in 5 of their Pokemon vs 1 of each of ours (we are a team of 4 + a Weavile) and we go at it. Trainers and NPCs have boons they can give Pokemon like a Type Expert giving some type of boost to moves of their selected type and having strategies built around them, it can be quite difficult even in a 1 Trainer vs 4 Trainer scenario.
The campaign I'm in is basically Shin Megami Tensei meets Pokemon wherein we fight some villainous organization that turns out to be fighting for some Law/Neutral/Chaos pathway to reshape the world. Its an epic adventure, not at all about challenging the gym leaders and taking on the league, more about saving the world.
