I give all my unevolved pokemon a 4 lettered nickname. Once they reach their final evolution (or if they don't evolve at all), I add 6 more letters to the end and make it a full 10-lettered name.
Poliwhirl / Rekinaruto
My favorite pokemon, so much so I leave it as is and he gets the full nickname treatment. My buddy, the one I'd be on-screen with the most.
Machamp / Rawknchamp
The main powerhouse of my fighting deck back when I used to play the TCG. I had better decks (M.Gardevoir, Yveltal) but this guy was def one of the most fun rouge decks.
Chandelure / Arcigniter
While I mained Darkrai in Pokken, this one represents one of my secondaries. I didn't play Pokken THAT much but Chandelure is a good representative of what I like (spooky things and fiery stuff)
Weavile / Lunamyieka
Gen 2 rep. I went out of my way to get a bootleg gameshark because I absolutely wanted Sneasel early on in my Gold play through. No max stats, no max items, just wanted Sneasel.
Gardevoir / Linagalace
Gen 3 rep. This was the gen that stood out to me the most. And Gardevoir is just amazing. Used her in just about everything pokemon related (tcg, pokken, etc). She's even one of my strongest in Pokemon Go.
Charizard / Grimscorch
The first pokemon I've ever owned. I first played pokemon on an emulator at school and I started with Charmander, so despite how much GF/PkmnCo. has sucked his dick, he's still one of my more meaningful pokes.
Overall I'd consider myself in-world as someone similar to Hex Maniac, since I love ghost and fire kind of characters in games, and I buy black dresses and stuff from hot topic. very cringey, thanks for letting me reminisce my journey through pokemon history
