>>36567847>it's about judging the game's difficulty in a comparable way.To which I've already promptly blown you the fuck out in that regard. Here, I'll spell it out for you again.
USUM trainers factually have hexaperfect IV's and competitive EV spreads on their Pokemon.
This was datamined forever ago. We've known this for a long time.
Now use your brain big boy, if USUM is full of trainers who have hexaperfect IV's and EV spreads on their Pokemon and other games in the series either don't (or they're reserved for a handful of post game challenges), then what does that mean? That's right, it means USUM is more difficult even when played vanilla.
Totems being more difficult than gym leaders is also not up for debate. You have a souped-up Pokemon that not only has perfect stats, but they also get the totem aura buff which increases their stats right from the get go too, and they can call other Pokemon to the fight making it a 2 on 1.
This even extends to regular battles. Yes, even the regular random encounters are made harder by this mechanic because they can call in help.
>Why not judge them by a monotype, no pokemon center , no heal nuzlocke?Who said they can't? The end result is still the same, being USUM is the hardest game to date in the base Pokemon series.
