Those that continued to attend were the hackers, who actually convinced themselves they are somehow legitimate or that it didn't matter. So they look around confused now when the rules were enforced for once. These people are total idiots, reminder they spent money on fucking plane tickets but still don't play legitimately. None of them are worth a damn as players anyway despite whining about "muh battle skill". Most good players, even if they don't play the actual game because they are simulator autists, don't cheat at tournaments. They will either get fans to get the mons for them or spend the effort or money to pay someone to get their team ready, which costs them far less than the time and money to go there, so they don't give much fucks even if they hate playing the game for some reason.
