This is a very comfy thread and I'm glad that I'm not the only one that often thinks about this. I wouldn't mind being a Pokemon so I could use some of their cool abilities. (Plus there's the benefit of not having to worry about all the human bullshittery like politics or bureaucracy.)
The most common one I daydream about is Vaporeon. Their aquatic bodies letting them swim fast and elegantly underwater, possibly getting the ability to breathe in water and all the strange things you could do with Acid Armor. It sounds really fun.
Another one I like to think about is being a Vulpix and evolving into a Ninetales. I wouldn't mind making a Pokemon family deep in the forest and use all my fire abilities to protect them.
Then there's stuff like psychic types, flying types... Thinking about all the different things a Pokemon could do that humans can't is really interesting. That and the simple, happy atmosphere of Pokemon is what usually draws my escapist fantasies towards it compared to other things.
