>>39006972This, it's so odd to me that Nintendo puts such huge pride in it's IPs and the bar for Mario and Zelda is extremely high, but is okay with Pokemon, the franchise that sells the most, to have sub par releases and an incompetent developer.
Imagine if, for a second, people actually considered Pokemon games to be legitimately 10/10 JRPGs. Imagine a Pokemon game with the backing of the brand amped up with being a legitimately stellar game that could rival Mario and Zelda in quality. The games would match or surpass their 3DS numbers on Switch.
It blows my mind that not only are people okay with the crap that we're getting, but actively get mad when someone suggest Pokemon can be better than what it is currently.
