It depends. Something like that. And they can't be controlled or attacked. Imagine like pic related if the ghost was a summon and it depleted pp of your opponent's move or gave your pokemon unnerve for five turns.
So this Tyranitar would have Sandstorm and whatever effect the ghost assist does for 5 turns. Then it disappears and can't be used again. It's like a summon in Kingdom Hearts if you've ever played that. But for imaginary "pokemon"
