Misty herself is pretty likeable in Special but there's something a little weird how it feels like the later arcs keep touching on a mild, almost NTR treatment of her in relation to Red and Yellow. I don't understand what the purpose of that is exactly, like maybe it's meant to be "realistic" in terms of young relationships but it does definitely feel like much later Special does a similar thing with other male protagonists at times, where they're played as like a kids'-manga harem protagonist or something in terms of random women hitting on them or them, like, emotionally cucking their supposed love interests or treating them coldly. Something about it just feels off to me, like maybe it's intended for boys to self-insert as them but it feels like a strange angle to take if so.
It's also a little weird how she seems to fall for Red instantly when he's supposedly younger, but they're drawn exactly the same agewise so I guess it doesn't matter.
