>Gym PuzzleNot so much a puzzle, really. The Gym Battle takes place in a stadium that's completely empty barring you and them. The arena's like a desert completely covered in a massive sandstorm. It's difficult to see, but it's your job to turn the machines causing the sandstorm off. After that, you and them can fight.

And the Sp.Def. boost Ground mons get by existing in this field doesn't help either. The Steelix in the Hard Mode battle only makes things more tricky!
