i may be misunderstanding but it seems the gist of what happened is that a company on behalf of Dena commissioned that artist, and were the ones that cancelled it as well, not Dena themselves. The artist also seemed unaware that the information about the characters wasn't pubic knowledge and apologized for that too (probably lying to cover his ass which is understandable)
