And before someone meme "megatimeline is ORAS, XY, SM" that's proven wrong even whitin the same games having a different Mega Evolution origin story, Looker not being a Faller in SM and ORAS having a different lead writer because the series lead and scenario writer was working in XY and SM the time ORAS was in development (the guy who wrote ORAS is one of the people who wrote dex entries for XY and SM then quit).
Let's Go! was also penned by different people, two lead writers actually.
Nintendo games have this multiple timelines just so they can give freedom to new staff and do not give a fuck about consistency. Look at the enterity of Zelda series, or Metroid Prime being said to take placebin a different timeline exactly because a different staff is making it (and the fanbase stills fight over making it a linear timeline). Even SmashU made fun of people who care too much about canonicy in Ridley's Palutena's guideance.
So every time Game Freak gets a new lead story writter they aren't gonna tell them "no because its inconsistent with this in this game" , they let them do whatever the fuck they want. If one of the LGPE likes Mina they will put Mina.
