>>45223012>The head/snout shape matches deer more than rabbits.I have a feeling that you didn't bother to look at pictures of hares and rabbits before posting this. Not all of them have short snouts.
>The nose is more like those of deer than rabbits.Lopunny has the same nose. So do Diggersby and Scorbunny. In fact, more rabbit Pokémon have that type of nose than deer Pokémon do. If we were going by noses alone, I'd say this confirms that Calyrex is a rabbit because his EXACT nose type is never used on deer Pokémon but is common on rabbit Pokémon.
Are we also ignoring that Calyrex has paws instead of hooves? Are we also going to ignore that Calyrex has a small round tail? I feel like these things are far more indicative of a possible inspiration than a nose pattern that Game Freak has proven they don't care about. I also have a feeling that you didn't bother to look at pictures of deer noses before posting this. Deer don't have that split in their upper lip, rabbits do, and his nose would be bigger if it were meant to be a deer's while retaining a deer head shape. That's how they did it for Sawsbuck.
> Deer, especially stags, can be found in European mythology and heraldry. As if the same thing isn't true of rabbits and hares...
Gonna be honest, I personally think that Calyrex is more of a mix-and-match creature rather than strictly inspired by one. Your reasons still suck though.
