>>40469576You see the "rival joining evil team" cliche a lot in these threads, but what about a rival who is IN the evil team?
>BackstoryNot much is known about him, except the fact that he was in a bind when he joined the evil team and kinda had to stay. His prowess in battle quickly led to his promotion as admin.
>AppearanceHe has pale skin, a white suit, and white hair. He's very weak-looking. To top it all off, he's mute.
>PersonalityAt first, he seems almost cold and emotionless, just coming by to battle, informing his boss of the situation via text, and leaving. Though through reading journals and later in the story you learn he's actually a pretty polite guy.
>TeamPic related, for each battle too.
>Place in the storyHe originally starts off in the evil team, and battles you a few times without saying a single word. He acts sort of like a foil to the protagonist, who also doesn't speak. His """partner""" generally does more of the work anyhow, his main benefit is being an excellent battler. He's tasked with the important job of protecting his boss' identity no matter what, to the point where he and his """partner""" participate in a double battle right in front of the boss' quarters in a last-ditch chance at beating you. After their loss and the defeat of the evil team's boss, they reform the team and the """partner""" actually becomes a partner. They severely lower the crime rate of the region with the newly reformed team, and before the final battles of the game, they come to battle you once more and personally thank you.
It should also be noted, the boss has a special background during his battle a la Gen 6 evil team bosses, and since this rival becomes the new boss, he gets one as well, the same one as the boss': An eerily black background with white flooring.
