You're putting too much thought into this OP. Just catch Pokemon that you like, this is really the best game to do it seeing as the broken exp share practically lets you shuffle around a team of twelve without having to worry about being massively underleveled.
Trust me OP, use your favourites because only a small handful suck so terribly that you'll regret using it. Even the traded Farfetch'd kicks a lot of ass. Don't worry about making a "good" team and just worry about making a team that you like, autistic IV breeders and Smogonfags shouldn't be weighing your personal preference here.
