To me, it's a very lazy design in terms of typing. It's Fire/Fighting, and normally I'd be thrilled about a Pokemon receiving a never before used type combination. But Blaziken is just an rooster who's arbitrarily typed with Fighting. Other Fire types derive their secondary typing from the species they're based off of. Moltres is a Flying type because it's a bird. Ho-oh is a Flying type because it's a bird. Blaziken, rather than being something tangentially related to Fighting like a policeman in Ferguson or Mayweather, is just a forcedly Fighting typed Pokémon. The connection is forced and inorganic.
