>>46201799If you want to transfer stuff from emulated files, DS, or virtual console you can export the save from your emulator settings or a hacked 3DS + save manager app to transfer them up via PKHeX. You can buy an adapter to extract Gen 1 - 3 cartridge saves and transfer them up via PKHeX. Gen 1 and 2 use different hidden values than Gen 3 and up, so you'll have to decide what's "close enough" to your old bros instead of being able to just drag and drop like other generations.
Then there's the slow official way to do it for cartridges as far back as Gen 3:
>own a ds phat or ds lite>insert gen 3 and gen 4 in cartridge slots>grab 6 pokemon from gen 3 from inside your gen 4 game>wait until they transfer and are erased from gen 3 forever>go to pal park>run around finding your bros in different areas>you can only do the transfer and catch thing for 6 pokemon every 24 hours real time>changing the DS clock attempting to cheat resets the timer so you have to wait longer>own another of any DS or 3DS system>gen 4 in one (3)DS and gen 5 in the other>grab 6 pokemon from gen 4 from inside your gen 5 game>wait until they transfer and are erased from gen 4 forever>instead of safari zone + timer you now have to play a touch screen mini game to fling poke balls at your transfers>own a 3DS>pay 5 USD for a pokemon bank subscription that you need to remember to turn auto-renew off for>put gen 5 into 3DS>boot up the transfer app from your subscription to extract from gen 5>you can only transfer 30 at a time>separately boot up pokemon bank>place the things on standby from the transfer app into home>pay the minimum of $1.99 + tip for 1 month of the subscription plans pokemon home provides>select things from bank in pokemon home>wait until they transfer and become incompatible with the 3DS games forever>transfer to sword and shield>realize the games don't allow the things you transfered>stare at jpgs of your bros in home that you can't put back into any games
