i like most generations, but when there are legitimate flaws that people don't want to hear they get assblasted.
Gen 1, only a handful of pokemon were usable, some were just bad from their movepool and type combos back in the era of locked types to special/physical.
Gen 2, most of the "Jhoto" pokemon are straight up garbage, and pale in comparison to the Kanto counterparts, while also throwing in that some have incredibly low encounter rates for said subpar pokemon and having a handful not being found in jhoto, is just sad...
Gen 3, (my personal favorite) water routes were tiresome at times, and the overreliance on hms suck. Long tunnels/open water demanded repels and dragged out experiences. While having Jhoto syndrome with really rare pokemon being subpar (ex. clampearl line)
gen 4, Do i even need to talk about the type variety? and how a lot of special mons were again pretty subpar and the Jhoto syndrome of "new" pokemon being obtainable post game only.
gen 5. BW, super linear, and the designs of gen 5 were alright to poor, to vanilluxe... BW2, Hugh is so terrible, his arc is just so dumb and didn't go anywhere.
Gen 6, you tried... Poor enemy team, poor story that goes nowhere, "rivals" are a burger king kids club of nothing. The gen 6 pokemon are Jhoto levels of filler shit mons that are overshadowed by the pushed Kanto pander mons that are outright better than the new ones.
Gen 7, you tried something different, but fuck man, enough with the hand holding and cutscene every 2 minutes, let me fucking play the game by myself!
Gen 8, Lies told to the community to justify actions, and when called on it being lies, lie more, then they sell you the answer back to the problem they made.
gen 9, the world is so open, that no area is unique, I do not recall any of the town names outside of Medali (LIVIN LIKE LARRY!), they just are shells of buildings populated by a handful of polygons running at 6FPS, and if any other developer put this out they would be bankrupted.
