That's why people often consider things like contests and the Pokéathlon as being part of the post game for the titles they appear in, even though they can be accessed before the E4. There should be a better term to avoid confusion
and to prevent disingenuous smartasses from nitpicking legitimate opinions, but such a term doesn't exist AFAIK so I just say "post-game".
