No, I don't want GF to change it back to the way it was.
At the same time, though, I kinda liked the idea of special just being one stat, in that it gave it this somewhat extraordinary property different from the standard Att./Def. system every other RPG has. Yeah, anyone can throw or block physical attacks, but the fact that these pocket creatures can use special attacks put them on a league different from that, that followed it's own slightly different (but not unintuitive) rules.
At least, that's how I see it. Whether on purpose or due to hardware limitations, special was a peculiar idea that kinda got phased out into just another Att./Def. system (though not without reason).
But, maybe that's good enough for everyone.
