its less about literal ice, more about the cold, which doesn't exist. it could be part of fire (heat), or it could be darkness which is the same thing if taken literally (negative/lack of energy). however, "cold" cant have the same strengths and weaknesses as its opposite, so its important.

a status condition doesnt need to be a type. merge into Normal/animal and other appropriate places, or dark.

these could exist as moralism personified plus literal shadow/color/radiation. dark would absorb poison & ghost, light would absorb fairy, and dragon would contribute to both or a single "mythic" type. that said, they are redundant with psychic and cannot replace all of its uses, so instead of adding light, dark could be cut.
