>>56491921One thing that I noticed is that I get hung up a lot on whether something will make sense or not. This might be why I take so long to write. This is probably a good thing, as it helps to keep my writing grounded and "realistic", but I tend to lose a good amount of time on it. I've spent over an hour trying to figure out if the design for Alex's gaming chair would work out or not based on how I imagine it. I'm well aware that rich people are usually form over function, but Alex is too smart for that, and as much as I want to make the design how I originally imagined it, I think I might have to scale it back a bit if I just can't see it actually functioning. I actually kind of want to write a short AU story with the ideas in

I could just do away with Pokemon all together and indulge my hand to hand combat fantasies while keeping the Pokemon inspirations for the outfits and attacks, but that also might kind of defeat the point of this being "Pokemon". Maybe I might just do that anyways because I want to indulge my hand to hand combat fantasies. Which leads me into my next thing
Now time for a bit of an edgewank session: I don't play DnD and probably never will because I have neither the time nor the connections or autism or obesity to do so, but I think playing "Alex" or someone like him would be both quite entertaining and challenging. He's firmly "Chaotic Neutral" but just the way that he tends to go about things would probably set off some DM's "murderhobo" countermeasures because he's generally inclined to just do what he wants, whether that would be early game theft despite genuinely just using it as a shortcut instead of actually intending to break the game or end up disemboweling some poor thief in front of the party after a battle.
I really hope I don't start writing this pseudo-DnD thing instead of going back to BB once CHD is done.
