If you wanted to be certain, you would have repeated the first test but simply without the ASMR sounds, and then seen that it still recorded as a deep sleep.
I did a fake nap test by just leaving my phone on my mattress for 90 minutes. There were no sounds of breathing for it to register, and it recorded as a slumbering sleep for the entire time due to the percieved lack of movement.
The reason it detected no sleep while your phone was on a pillow in your lap is not becaue of the lack of sound, but because it detected too much frequent movement for someone to be sleeping.
