Nuking people with Staraptor, watching Shinx's power exponentially grow, babying Gible until you have a murder machine (and unlike other gens you actually get the full CHOMP for a good portion of the game) and your trusty starter with his earthquakin' and mega drainin'
Just gotta decide my surfmon and a 6th. I'm thinking Floatzel, Quagsire, Golduck, or Lumineon for laughs as my surfmon.
6th is trickier, maybe Heracross? I love Johto and I love that Sinnoh has a relation to Johto and Sinnoh almost doesn't feel right without a gen 2 Pokemon in the team.
If the Underground is more accessible it would be fun to grind out the underground online to get the encounters needed for Spiritomb, getting to use it in the main game would be pretty unreal.
I also really like Hipowdon, Bastiodon, Vespiqueen, Drapion, Carnivine, Gliscor, and Gallade and have never used them in a playthrough so they interest me.
Rotom is also a classic staple, and the flexibility is a godsend
It's also gonna be hard to resist using any Galarian formes if they get included, I didn't buy SWSH but a lot of the regional forms seem neat as fuck.
