She fucking won, etc., and so on. It was actually super fun watching a Pokemon with a massive type advantage win against Ash for a change. Couldn't have happened to a better person than Iris either. It's a shame that Pikachu's been such a jobber in BW. I mostly remember the loss to Snivy and Panpour, but I can't remember a battle he's won. Snivy, Oshawott, Tepig and Palpitoad have done most of the work.
Just out of curiosity, I checked how the dub handled everyone's verbal tics. All I can say positive is that they tried...kind of. Cilan and Burgundy's "It's tasting time" dichotomy is especially poor. Like fine, "it's evaluation time" is an okay work around to how weird the word "taste" sounds in English. But Burgundy's faux-French just sounds lifeless, and Cilan, despite being voiced by Sonic the Hedgehog, is so samey. It's almost as if the dubbers were still trying to shake off the goofiness of the 4Kids dub after almost five years and refused to go camp, despite the fact that Cilan and Burgundy are camp personified.

I don't get the sense just from how people talk about XY that they're remembered fondly enough, but they were the most consistently amusing part of XY throughout, even when it got good later. Bonnie and Squishy's arc is a fantastic one to parallel with the Ash-Greninja/Team Flare stuff.
