My first game was Silver when I was about 5 if I remember it correctly. Didn't play much until the latter half of Gen 3 where I got a deal and me mum bought me Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red, Leaf Green and XDGoD.
Played all of Gen 4 besides the console games, and Pearl.
Skipped the entirety of Gen 5. I was approaching my first year of high school and I felt I was "too old" for Pokémon. But I still kept up with the series and I started playing Pokémon Online for a bit around this time, but eventually dropped after a few months. Ironically at tgis time was the first time I fapped to Pokeporn. But didn't do it again until yeats later.
Took a long as break from the series, and didn't do anything Pokémon related until the latter half of my senior year of high schoop where I started playing Showdown, and started browsing /vp/. But like PokeOnline I eventually dropped it. But I still kept up with the series and still browsed /vp/. Until roughly early 2016 where I decided to indulge into my childhood again and I picked up Omega Ruby and since then I've went back played every Gen and even bought Gen 7 on their initial release date.
Skipped LGBT because at this point I was getting sick of KANTOOOO pandering. Not looking forward to SwSh until GF makes it possible to bring my boys over.
