There is a near infinite number of Fakemon designs out there, and many of which look better than any official Pokemon.
Could that last part be due to fans taking up all the good design ideas? Or is GF just that creatively bankrupt now? Or both?
Like we all know back in Gen 6 they couldn't come up with a good design for Flygon.
But what if they tried again for Z-A, but the concepts they were coming up with were too close to existing Fakemon concepts?
It is such a stupid thing. Like I get it from a business CYA standpoint, but still.
