Not gonna lie, I don't know what the fuck is going on. Quick blogpost about random misc shiny related shit.
It all started when I decided to go for a shiny Shellder. I didn't really have much difficulty getting this one, so I was pretty happy with going for other shinies.
Then it happened.
I went through absolute hell getting my shiny Dhelmise.
After that experience, I was sure I wasn't gonna shiny hunt any more, it almost gave me fucking PTSD.
Took a short break and started breeding again, not for a shiny just for certain pokemon with usable stats to play online.
Ended up getting surprised with a Galarian Yamask shiny, was pretty stoked about that.
Decided I'd end my shiny hunting off with Wishiwashi, which I did get yesterday.
Today I'm doing some last minute breeding for Pokemon I'm getting ready to EV train.
Ended up pulling this absolute beauty. Fuck me, he looks good. Didn't realize this line had such a great shiny pallete. Admittedly it does fuck up the balltism I had going with its base forms colouration but I'm not gonna complain about this at all.
Only other shiny I've had this gen is Galarian Farfetch'd, which was a complete surprise too. I didn't even know I got it, but after breeding so many fucking Farfetch'd I had a feeling that there's a chance I coulda missed it, so I went into my Pokedex to check (Thank fuck for that feature), lo and behold I had encountered one apparently, so I had to pray that I didn't release the shiny, like I was doing with tons of the breedjects I already had before, fortunately I hadn't.
This is the luckiest I've ever been when it comes to shinies, I've been playing since the very inception of Pokemon and the only shinies I've had in 7 whole gens before this one was a fucking caterpie in gen 2 or something and a litleo in X&Y. I've got notoriously bad luck usually, and after that hellish dhelmise hunt I thought the shiny charm was fucking garbage and did nothing, but I'm a believer now.
