This was always a retarded headcanon. Why did they choose the most popular dex to give the most regionals then? Why did they choose the most popular legendary trio? Why choose the most popular starters from their regions in Hisui starters? Why choose Zoroark? If what you were saying is true, they'd have chosen less popular members of these groups.
