>>29330196I think it would overall be negative to take out mega evolutions, it's helped a lot more Pokemon than hurt, especially with ORAS. Pidgeot and Beedrill for example would be irredeemable garbage without them
I also understand, though, that it drastically reduces design space for regular evolutions for 2 stage mons that got megas, but I don't think GF has any plans to give Lucario a regular evo any time soon so a mega makes sense to preserve its identity
