>>51590681So I played some more. Progress has been made, but at a cost. Purrloin was killed by a crit Tackle from a wild Level 7 Patrat. He was Level 10 and at full health. How was I meant to know a crit would kill?! Crit Tackles from other Level 7 Patrats hadn't killed!
Whatever. I got over my Fully-EV-Trained Absol dying in its first battle; I'll get over this.
In other news, I failed the Wellspring Cave encounter because
>Didn't bother to look up wild levels so I didn't know my Repel wouldn't work (was trying for a Dust Cloud Drilbur)>Wild Woobat Crits (and confuses) my lead Lillipup who hits herself so I'm forced to switch>Didn't bother doing a calc and figured crit Tackle from Patrat wouldn't kill the thing>I'm Wrong>FuckEither way at least I have a living Watchog, with Detect. I am now completely immune to Bide from the AI, barring a Mean Look & Bide combo which I'm fairly certain no NPC in the game has.
The Cress, Cheren and N fights were a walk in the park, but I forgot to put the Chesto Berries on my team. Pic Fucking Related; my heart is still beating quick. No deaths during it though!
On the Rare Candy issue, I grinded manually for the Striaton Gym, realized the Day Care was accessible from that point onward, and promptly spawned the Candies in. EV-free levels are now a possibility, and I've already detailed my grievances with Gen 5's exp. formula. I'll consider deleting them when I get the Lucky Egg. (Chargestone Cave IIRC)
>>51608437Lots of Revenge runs here. I like the shared spirit, which I'll need considering how my Lenora fight went. Give X another run, but don't be afraid to skip trainers that you're not geared to beat and remember:
>There's no shame in having the Serebii tab open for every Route you enter.>>51609946>>51610208I'd start planning for Bertha and Lucian now tbqh. They *could* wipe you even at the very end.
>>51610016Yes. You're doing a Monotype Nuzlocke, in Sinnoh. You need all the power you can get.
