The prices are rising but the quality is declining, there is a point where you have to just stop and admit it's not worth supporting this franchise anymore and I think I've reached it. As long as I can get excited for new Pokémon reveals that's good enough.

Due to the nature of Switch the next games will be fucked regardless of whether they end up being good or not. The online will no longer be free and the game saves will be strictly tied to system memory with no means of backing them up. There's also the possibility of them bumping the price to $60 from the usual $40 because lolconsole, and as it that's not bad enough they might also abuse DLC like they did with BOTW.

No matter what Game Freak does the Switch itself opens too many new ways for everything to go wrong.
