OP here. Interesting to see how views on comp have changed, but on the subject of weird sets:
>TypicalShillmonTeam.jpg
>I lead Snarl, assuming he's bringing Mimikyu or Cinderace in the lead to paralyze them, followed with Indeedee and Vish
>He leads Duraladon
>Figure I might as well set up a Light Screen to see if I live Steel Beam anyway only to see him use LS as well
>It's a screens Duraladon
>Take a break to T-Wave him as he uses Reflect, then use Reflect next turn while he sets up Rocks
>Spirit Break to poke at his health bar
>He's paralyzed and can't move
>Do it again
>Now he fires off the Steel Beam
>It does only 25% of my Grimmsnarl's health, and the recoils actually lets snarl kill him next turn
>His next mon is Cinderace, who also gets paralyzed while Snarl eats a Pyro Ball
>Send out my Dracovish
>Pyro Ball does an extremely minuscule amount
>Fishious Rend and break his focus sash
>Cinderace's turn
>C O U N T E R
>Vish's health depletes so fast he's sent to the shadow realm
>Send out Snarl to finish the job, take only 3 points of damage from Sucker Punch
>Last mon is Kommo-o
>Light Screen wears off as well
>I know Snarl can't outspeed so I Thunder Wave him to ko next turn
>Max Steelspike says otherwise however and finishes Snarl off
>Send out Indeedee
>Use Psyshock to deal a solid amount of damage to him, he retaliates with Max Wrymwind for a decent amount of damage
>I use Draining Kiss just to see how much it'll actually do since I'm faster and he won't be able to 2HKO me if I use it, even if it crits
>Kommo-o's health bar is fucking obliterated and it dies while Indeedee is fully healed
I guess I use some unorthodox sets too now that I think about it. I absolutely did not expect anyone to run Counter on Cinderace though. Pretty wacky imo.
