Most people will refuse ti understand this, but there is a reason Decidueye looks somewhat humanoid. The owl it's based in was known for its long legs which looked very similar to Decidueye.

It's nice to see that all 'mons get love despite what GameFreak does. Some things about owl tick me off such as having a mask instead of Dartrix's face but with open eyes, the brown body being more cardigan like, and the type but I've gotten used to those.

The unfortunate thing about Decidueye's design is that most of the flaws come from deviating from the Stilt Owl it's based on for no real reason. Brown head, brown body, they're traits shared with Rowlet yet GameFreak felt like not keeping those.

Decidueye is a humanoid version of this thing wearing a green hoodie, it's inspired by Robin hood with it's archery theme sure, but that's about it, remove the hoodie and it's just a stilt owl.
