SM and SWSH are the opposite. Corridors, NPC roadblocks, obligatory YW-tier gimmicks... The only reason we even got regional forms in SM (one of the good things the Alola games did) is because they were meant explicitly to facilitate LGPE being a muh 151 game.
SWSH literally added in raids from GO. You can choose to ignore the facts and facets of gameplay that make LGPE closer to Gens 1-6, but it doesn't hide the truth.
