gen 4, platinum specifically, is gen 3 but better

i've never had a problem with platinum's map. it's not as seamless as other regions and you will probably have to use fly on your way back from snowpoint but it opens up really naturally and the center region is connected in a way where nothing feels too far away.

gen 4 is a merging of the design philosophies of gens 2 and 3, with the former being an evolution of gen 1. it's the definitive classic pokemon experience.
and, at the risk of starting a genwar, it's telling that when people try to point out problems with sinnoh it's always stuff that's only an issue in DP.

anon, i don't think we're on the same page here.
i'm not ranking who would win in a fight. if i did that, mega fug alone would catapult ORAS Brendan into the #1 spot.
i'm judging them by the things they did in-game. i am estimating their strength based on what they accomplished.
and i also love gen 4. platinum is my #2 favorite pokemon game.
