>>40164432I like gen 2 for it's Pokemon and music, that's it. Gameplay wise gen 2 sucks ass. Shitty TM selection (in fact the only gen with bad TM selection), shitty pokemon distribution, pokemn have terrible movepools (mainly the johtomons since the kantomons can go back to gen 1 to learn better TMs), Kanto has everything good about it removed.
I actually like gen 7. Good regional dex, music isn't as good as gen 2 but has some above average tracks. The new pokemon are fucking awful, except Golisopod and Araquanid. I honestly don't mind the game being linear and having unskippable cutscenes. I would rather have a linear game with a good selection of pokemon and TMs to use in the main game than a non linear game with shit TMs and shit pokemon availability I even liked SM's story and Jellyfish Lusamine. However I played SM 3 more times and it didn't that magical feel it did the first time. USUM ruined the story, but Mantine Surf is kino.
