the best part of knowing how to use
paint.net is that you get to easily fix any shinies you don't like in pokemon fangames
the method I use for replacing shitty shinies is going into the game's files, entering the fangamename\Graphics\Battlers folder, downscaling sprites down to half size (nearest neighbor scaling method), making my changes, then scaling it to 200% (again with nearest neighbor selected) so it's back at the original size
and you can copy the new shiny sprites to another folder so you can easily use them in other games assuming filenames and sprite types (individual files for each sprite or spritesheets) are the same
and porting them between single-sprite images spritesheets is simple; just paste the replacement sprite(s) over the respective part of the tilesheet to port to tileset using games, and just copy out the parts of the tilesheet to use them for single-sprite-per-file games
