This is the language-game(read wiki on Ludwig Wittgenstein), we pretend that this is real, because it makes us somewhat connected to the process of creating the pokemon design. If the pokemon EXISTS in our heads or on the Internet then it means its real or atleast on the same level as the rest of the pokemon who also exist only in the digital form. We don't need to talk to each other to understand this, and we don't usually need to clarify our collective thoughts.
