>>43853587The lead up to Giovanni actually had a scarier moment than the entire Giovanni battle. One of the Cooltrainer’s had a Nidoking that I thought for sure was gonna kill Eiyeah the Raticate (who only had about 90HP). I had Eiyeah use Bubble Beam, and it almost brought the Nidoking to half HP, but I new another Bubble Beam wouldn’t have done the job (I had completely forgotten that Dig would have been much better, as Nidoking is weak to Ground). Nidoking got an X Attack, which was terrifying. I had to hope that Hyper Fang would do the job. And it did.
Here’s how Giovanni went:
>It starts with Amco the Gyarados vs Giovanni’s Rhyhorn. One Surf did the job.>Same story with Giovanni’s Dugtrio.>Next, we have a battle of Nidoqueens. Again, I had forgotten that that line is weak to Ground. Either way, 2 Ice Beams apiece took out both Nidoqueen and Nidoking, and Auphaph left the battle with only missing about 30% of her HP.>Finally we have Xishowsi the Victreebel vs Giovanni’s Rhydon. This think has two scary one-hit-KO moves, so I was relying on Xishowsi for a critical Razor Leaf. Xishowsi came through, and that was the end of Giovanni.
