The story between her and Linhuo is kind of interesting, seeing as Ming-Ming only got into the idea of cooking because the puppy refused to eat anything unless he found it tasty to his palette, and Linhuo himself had very little interest in his own health and safety, just the pursuit of becoming stronger.
Ming-Ming's first Pokemon was an Espeon named Baoshi, one of her mama's pets in fact. Baoshi carries herself on the idea of being the divine conduit between humanity, speaking in airs and acting all proud, despite being no longer than your average housecat. Between the two of them, Ming-Ming certainly had her work cut out for her when she did the Alolan Island challenge.
