So far I'm enjoying Emerald and find it fun, a bit slower compared to FireRed because of the higher ratio of doubles. This game also made me hate wingull even more because it mogged three of my pokemon in the pic and hits everything else for neutral damage.
Pokemon wise though, Nincada is by far the most miserable pokemon to raise so I just gave it HMs and box it otherwise. Zubat is too but can fight worth a damn now, just needs a flying move. Tailow is surprisingly VERY strong, Shroomish has decent earlygame support and Mudkip/Marshtomp does great for a starter I never used before.
