The reasoning behind me voting for Gen 1 is because the rivalry was a true rivalry and the story isn't MUH FATE OF THE WHOLE WORLD XD. Generation one's story wasn't the cliché saving the world bullshit. If there was another main story with a Rocket-esque crime syndicate and a bitter rivalry, it would be sure to be superior to all of the other games. Just getting really tired of the same shit. Just because generation three did the "saving the world" thing successfully doesn't mean GF has to keep recycling that theme.
