I like to imagine that he has a real soft spot for Pyukumuku in particular, because their dex entry states that they're pretty much helpless and no one really wants them around. I like to imagine that one chose Guzma as its special spot, and after numerous times trying to throw it back, Guzma started to like the little guy and kept it as his own. I like to believe that he loves and cares deeply for not just his Pokemon, but all Pokemon. A tough exterior with a heart of gold.
