>>56831821>Finnigan soloes the 7:th gym with Night Slash>VS Xerneas>I lead with Flair because i took a look at Xerneas' stats and assumed he would only have physical moves so the plan was to stall with Leftovers, Barrier, Protect and evasion from Hail while i chuck balls at it (Master ball is reserved for shiny pokémon to make things more interesting)>Plan goes out the window turn 1 when Xerneas breaks out of the quick ball and almost kills Flair with Moon Blast>I Swap in Foran who almost dies to a Megahorn>I swap in Lillie who easily tanks a Moonblast>I Lillie uses Wish and then Moon Blast of her own while tanking Megahorns and Moon Blasts that luckily don't crit>This keeps going for 10+ turns with Lillie alternating between Wish and me chucking Balls at Xerneas>Eventually catch Xerneas with a Timer Ball with my entire team still alive>Lysandre jumps me right after>Flair leads and uses Protect to dodge Mienshaos High Jump Kick>I decide to not gamble another Protect because failing it would most likely get Flair killed so i swap in Santos who has been soloing Lysandres entire team in the previous battles>Mienshao misses the second High Jump Kick anyway and kills himself>Pyroar comes out and dies to a Surf>Honchkrow falls to a Thunderbolt>Gyarados comes in, mega evolves and survives Thunderbolt with like 10 hp>Santos falls to an Earthquake>Foran comes in and finished the fight with a SuperpowerIn hindsight i should have just given Protect & Leftovers to Lillie and let her handle Xerneas entirely. Still wouldn't have saved Santos though. Last gym is apparently ice and i have a Pinsir with Superpower so probably deciding on the last team member when i make it to the Pokemon League
