>>54340703>Fairy no longer resists itNow it has a lot more Pokemon it can hit for neutral or SE, like Grimm or Clefable
>Resists itselfBugs are often natural enemies of other bugs. This also has a competitive advantage as a lot of Bug Pokémon are weak to their own type and in general another resistance of any kind is welcome
>Buff moves like Pounce, Lunge, Skitter SmackGive them more options overall. U-Turn is fine but it shouldn't be the only move all of them are carrying. Buzz and X-Scissor are good basic moves but they don't really have a lot of punch behind them. And not enough Pokémon learn Leech Life, so just give us more viable options overall
>Make Swarm not a garbage ability. Change it so instead of buffing moves at low health it now buffs your moves when you or your ally are at high health -- you literally are "swarming" the opponentThis would make Bugs a preferable doubles partner because they can pull off very strong First Impressions or moves like Pounce on the first turn while the ally is at full health. It also makes them more interesting leads or late game sweepers because they get that little extra power boost to clean up at full health and it gives them more options as a lead where you can decide if you want to do that one powerful hit or go for a status move
>Give Bug a universal passive type buff like being immune to forced switches Bugs are pests, so why not? It's not something that comes up too often in battle, but if other types get something fun to take advantage of they should have it to. This would give them full immunity to stuff like Roar, Circle Throw, etc. I could see where it doesn't make sense, but just on the logic of bugs being pesky and this not being a super common strategy as it is it's a really nice buff that doesn't go overboard and just helps them situationally
