>>50888237It all comes down to the exact same excuse they make every time. The sheer number of Pokemon. They used it to explain the sprite work in gen 5, and then the reused models and animations in gen 6, 7, and 8. But in gen 5, it may have at least made some sense and been true, I guess. The games included every Pokemon and idle movement was new to the games. So they cut corners and used old movements or sprites, and didn't put forth the effort to create new sprites for the majority of the Pokemon. This meant they were going to stick to a specific ratio and not change it for the game. That's what happened in gen 5, and it was almost excusable. Until every gen after that has gotten lazier and lazier and more and more recycled.
At the end of the day all of GF's problems come down to laziness and an inability or an unwillingness to do better. They've been using the same excuses for decades and as time goes on they are less and less applicable.
